- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆My boss let me leave a little early to get here. I arrived between 4:59 and 5:00pm. The door was locked when I arrived. A representative was waving goodbye to me as she walked up to unlock the door so another patron could leave. She told me they were closed, and I told her I arrived right at 5pm. She went to get the manager who leisurely walked to the door to tell me that they're closed. I explained to her that I arrived at 5pm. Others were inside still in line, by the way. She then asked one of her workers what time it was. By that time it was 3 or 4 minutes after 5pm. She told me she was sorry but they're closed. I asked for a little grace and she said they're closed, again. I smiled and walked away. In a society where most people who need the services of the DMV work between 8am and 5pm, why would the hours of the DMV match the working hours of their customers!?! That makes no sense. On top of that why lock the doors BEFORE you close!?!By Stephen Brannan, September 19, 2017
