  I have had an absolute miserable experience with this post office. I have lived in Forest Acres for 8 months. At first, I only had trouble receiving packages, which in the beginning was understandable. However, when I would go to the post office to pick the packages up the day after they were deemed not deliverable, they would tell me they already sent the package back to the company even after I would call and tell them I was coming to pick the package up and could they please hold onto it for 24 hours so that I could retrieve it. Now, I have stopped receiving letters and other addressed mail. I am still receiving the bills and credit card ads that are addressed to me but all of the personal mail I am supposed to be receiving is being returned to the senders, even though the address is exactly correct on all items. Not only is not receiving mail that is sent to me frustrating but, the last time I called the Post Office to see what I could do to remedy this, I spoke with an unbelievably rude employee who ended up hanging up on me half way through the conversation and told me "that I need to get my mailing situation in check before I start getting people to send me mail". He refused to give me his name and was not helpful in the least bit.I was shocked at how, as I remained professional and cordial throughout the conversation, this employee was treating me as if I had started yelling the second they answered the phone. I am extremely disappointed not only with their lack of organization but with how they handle their customer service. Absolutely unacceptable, I know they are understaffed and that is out of their control, but the way their customer service is handled is in their control and I am unbelievably dissatisfied with their service. My roommate receives her mail with no issue so I am confused that when my mail has the exact same address on it, it is not being delivered.

  So helpful. I was unable to get through to the Assembly street post office for 2 days, leaving messages that no one returned. The 1st gentlemen who was extremely kind gave me two phone numbers to try. one didn't work and the 2nd was broken. I called back and spoken to a 2nd gentlemen who was very helpful. He asked me what my problem was and help me to try and solve it. He at least made me feel better and gave me some ideas on how to handle things. He also gave me another number to try. Of course that number didn't work. But I give this post office 5 stars for their kindness, caring and helpfulness. Thank you.

  Typically - you wait for minimum a half hour to an hour . They usually have 2 employees with one always disappearing . These folks do not like their job . The downtown post office is light years faster
